Marco Polo Project

Since early 2011, with a multicultural team of dedicated Melburnians, I have been building the Marco Polo Project. The Marco Polo Project is a web-based interface that proposes to crowd-source the translation of Chinese texts into Western languages. The purpose of the web-site is to discover and share Chinese writing – fiction and non-fiction ; offer a platform for language learners to practice their translation skills ; and build a community around cultural dialogue.

The beta version of the website can be accessed at http://marcopoloproject.org. Register, join the project, and start translating (or discovering) contemporary Chinese writing with us!
